Point Taken! Race Report: Get to the ‘Point 5K

Heard around Greenpoint on Sunday:

NBR finished 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 18, and Jen in 21st overall for the women.

Get to the ‘Point 5k is one of the best deals around. Pre-register for $15, you get to race, eat all you want of a pretty decent looking spread, drink all the
brooklyn brewery beer you want, and be amused by the dance offs at the post race party. This will stay on my racing schedule in the future.

NBR swiped up crazy amounts of trophies. I can’t recall specific times, but they were impressive. Nice job everyone!!!

And Marie won a dance off for a case of Brooklyn Lager. Marie, we love your futuristic dance moves: (Press Play!)

We had 9 top 3 placers. But also *everyone* had a wonderful race. I didn’t talk to everybody, but i know that Raymond and Kevin PR’d in a big way.

And marie’s dance off! girl was *locking* ! and pavel also put on some cool mysterious moves. I saw vogueing.

Anna Mccusker, meanwhile, got 1st place in her age group at the Staten Island Half (Race Report coming soon!). A blazing year for Anna.

Mishka, represented at the Bed Stuy 10K which looks like a cool race.

Thanks to all NBR folk along the race route giving us shoutouts!

PS. Was it a dream – or – did Douglas show up in cool ass 400 meter snanking wear? Believe!

Gotta give it up to James for the crazy kick he had and his subsequent keeling over and moaning haha. Wish I had gone that deep into the well, pretty inspiring stuff.

The race was great, the course had lots of people cheering and that made a big difference in my mind. Thanks to all the NBR peeps out there! I was running with a WSX guy until the final mile where I pulled away(thankfully). I was real happy to get the W wearing an NBR jersey. We had so many people towards the top.

I think the best moment of the S.I. Half was seeing NBR singlets ahead of many of the WSX singlets.
Good job to guys out front and to everyone for kicking ass in both races.

Damn! I missed James doing “dead dog” after kick? Awesome!

It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it nipping the guy at the line to get 4th rather than 5th.
