Monday – Morning-After Run in Prospect Park
Time: 6:15am Sharp!
Distance: 3-6 miles (a loop (or two!) of Propect Park.)
Pace: ALL PACES WELCOME
Effort: Comfortable-Moderately Hard
Led by: Mishka & John
Meet: Grand Army Plaza (north entrance of park, just west of the Brooklyn Public Library)
This run is open to all runners who want to run a loop or two of Prospect Park early in the AM. The loop is just over 3 miles, and we begin at Grand Army Plaza running down the west side of the park and back up the east side, ending the loop with the 400 meter hill. Second loop is generally run in opposite direction for variety. Because most of us run to Grand Army from some distance away, we are pretty “warmed up” and just get going. John and Mishka tend to run at a pace between 7:30-8:30 min/mile, but ALL PACES ARE WELCOME- we have runners who go both faster and slower, and the point of this run is early morning camaraderie. If you want a quicker tempo, one of us will probably join you. If you could barely get out of bed this morning, one of us is likely to be right there with ya. Just come.
Additionally, many of the folks in this group (Just South of North Brooklyn Runners!) also meet Wednesday morning at 6:15 for hills – not yet official, but come and join us then too!
Look for these jokers, though expect them to look even worse at 6:15 am sharp.
