October Runner of the Month: Nicoletta Lakatos
Nicoletta first joined in 2015 (she thinks!) and has been extremely involved in the club ever since. Pre-pandemic, she was a Co-Leader for the Tuesday AM Tempo run and a Co-Membership Coordinator for a little over a year. Currently, she has volunteered to lead our Thursday AM Pilot Run!
What do you do when you're not running?
You'll find me working, hiking, biking and book clubbing (unfortunately in that order).
How did you initially get into running?
Transitioned from competitive swimming.
What is your favorite race distance?
5-10km
Best running memory?
Hitting the coney island boardwalk after my first Brooklyn Half Marathon
Favorite running route in NYC?
Running along Brooklyn Bridge Park Promenade and across any of the NYC bridges
Any running-related superstitions?
Always wear an extra layer, just in case!
Current running goal?
To stay sane through 2020.
